Happy Fall, yall! When one of my girlies text me asking if I wanted to go to a farm, I was all in! Fall is one of my favorite seasons for many reasons but the main one being the cool breeze and getting to wear plaid! The planning began around 2 weeks ago so I just knew the weather was going to be perfect for boots and jackets! Baby, I was wrong. 🤣

Before leaving, I checked the temperature to see what I was working with. To my surprise, the high that day was around 84 degrees which isn’t too bad for pumpkin and flower picking! I threw on a tshirt and leggings with my cute low top chucks and headed out to meet M! When we arrived, the layout was absolutely gorgeous!! There were so many pumpkins to choose from and the grounds were perfect for families and those with mobility issues.

There were several activities to choose from at Flat Top Mountain Farm, including a pumpkin patch, flower and sunflower garden, hay rides and two corn mazes (easy and advanced). We spent around 4 hours there but I’m sure you can spend most of the day if you wanted to. My favorite activity had to be picking flowers and seeing the butterflies! It’s something that I have always wanted to do and it’s definitely a peaceful and joyful experience.

NOW LET’S GET TO THE GOOD STUFF…..

If you haven’t done a corn maze in your life, I highly suggest you do so. Coming from someone who has anxiety and always assumes the worst, this corn maze was actually stress releaving. I would also like to add we completed this maze in 38 minutes even though it is a 45 minute maze so not too shabby. Let me set the scene, M and I noticed that the exit to the corn maze was beside the entrance so we knew that our exit would obviously be on the left. Upon entering, the corn was hella high so my idea of trying to take a picture to look for the exit was an EPIC fail.

We also decided to keep it interesting and not use the google earth to get out but, I did turn on my Apple Watch just in case – it was no help at all, LOL. We entered into the maze with a group of people who we passed along the course of our escape. At one point, we were forced to go back to the very beginning and start completely over to make sure we remembered the directions we took. Throughout the maze, there were little signs that gave you facts about Tennessee. I am assuming that the different cities on the signs were supposed to help you remember the paths previously taken. The image also had a phone number that you could dial in case you were a freaking quitter. There was also an exit near the end of the maze for the literal quitters. The quitter exit was about 6 minutes from the actual exit which made using that route completely hilarious.

While you’re in the maze, you tend to see the same faces and it’s actually a good idea to use their failures to determine your next move. We ran into a nice couple who followed us for a bit until they realized we were just as lost as they were. We also saw a man and a wife who we kept running into who looked completely over their experience. I wish they would have followed us because THEY GOT LOST. Like, they legit when in a completely different direction than us and we never saw them again. 🤷🏾♀️ Overall, the maze, as I mentioned before was a complete success and I would totally do it again.

I would also like to add that as we took our victory hay ride, I looked back at the corn maze and saw the lost couple who decided to go their own way going in the wrong direction- AGAIN. Word has it that he and his woman are still trying to escape.

I give this adventure a 9.5/10 only because my shoes were wrecked. Here are a few more pictures to close it out. Let’s chat soon!
-Xoxo
