Happy late Thanksgiving! Okay, first of all, I thought I was posting too much so I stopped but clearly, I’ve been gone too long! I want to apologize because I didn’t realize how many people looked forward to my blog posts.
My apologies.
Anyhoo, I have always wanted to spend Thanksgiving away from home & thanks to the pandemic, I was able to do just that. My husband and I decided to go Pigeon Forge and just relax for 5 days. No schedule, no agenda, just 5 days of not arguing and enjoying each other and our fur babies. At one point, we toyed with the idea that we may go to Dollywood and venture outside of the hotel until we realized…. PEOPLE WERE NOT SOCIAL DISTANCING OR WEARING MASKS!

Y’all, I’m not even joking. People were out there walking shoulder to shoulder and acting like COVID didn’t exist! It was so crowded there.
Now, before you judge us, don’t, we only left the room to grab food and we didn’t eat there. We bundled up like the crazy Democrats that we are and dodged people harder than trump dodged the draft. I am very proud of us! Dollywood was even worse! My husband and I looked at various Snapchat’s of people being in close range with their mask chin guards. It was a whole mess.
I am beyond thankful to have a husband who wants to spend time with me and loves me so unconditionally. Times were rough (if you know me, you know I don’t do crowds) and he was such a trooper as we drove through that social wasteland. He’s the sweetest.
Hopefully, we can make a family tradition of it. I’m always searching for new traditions to start. We are working on putting the tree up and will be picking out our ornaments later. Family is important especially now! Love on people while you can.
